Description

The TRENDnet TPE-3018LS 18-Port Gigabit PoE+ Smart Surveillance Switch is designed to simplify the installation, management and monitoring of IP surveillance networks. Combining PoE+ connectivity with ONVIF-based camera management, this smart managed switch provides an integrated solution for security installers, system integrators and business network administrators.

18-Port Gigabit PoE+ Connectivity

The TPE-3018LS provides 16 Gigabit PoE+ RJ-45 ports for connecting compatible IP cameras, wireless access points and other powered network devices. Two additional shared Gigabit ports support either RJ-45 Ethernet or SFP fiber connectivity, providing flexible uplink options.

220W PoE Power Budget

The switch provides a total PoE power budget of 220W, with up to 30W available per PoE+ port. It supports IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at standards, delivering data and power over a single Ethernet cable to compatible devices.

ONVIF Smart Surveillance Management

The integrated surveillance management interface helps administrators discover compatible ONVIF IP cameras and NVRs. Users can view connected devices, upload building floorplans to create electronic surveillance maps, modify supported camera IP settings, upgrade camera firmware and manage camera administrator credentials through the switch interface.

PoE Self-Healing and Extended Distance

The PoE device alive-check feature monitors connected powered devices and attempts to recover unresponsive equipment by restarting the corresponding PoE port. The switch also supports extended PoE+ transmission distances of up to 200m (656ft.) at 10Mbps, making it useful for camera installations where standard Ethernet distances are insufficient.

Advanced Network Management

The TPE-3018LS supports VLAN configuration, link aggregation, Quality of Service, IGMP Snooping, port bandwidth management, port mirroring, SNMP and IPv6. These features provide administrators with greater control over network traffic, segmentation and monitoring.

Rackmount Design and Power Monitoring

The front-panel four-digit LED display provides PoE power statistics, including total power, available power and per-port consumption. Its 1U, 19-inch rackmount design makes it suitable for server rooms, surveillance cabinets and commercial network installations.
